Club team featuring eight NCAA recruits wins USA Volleyball national title

The club careers for eight incoming NCAA men’s volleyball freshmen now includes leading their program to an unprecedented fourth straight national title.

The Southern California team 949 B12 Black swept Balboa Bay 25-16, 25-21 in the Open 18 Division championship match at the USA Volleyball Boys’ Junior National Championship earlier this week in Phoenix, Arizona. Legendary players, coaches inducted into MIVA Hall of Fame

Some of the top coaches and players throughout the 58-year history of the MIVA are now officially in the conference’s hall of fame.

Tuaniga’s OT heroics knocks out Ohio States, keeps LBSU title hopes alive

The National Player of the Year surprised everyone on the court with a play to put Long Beach State in the NCAA Tournament finals.

Josh Tuaniga had a matcher-winning setter dump kill in overtime as Long Beach State defeated the two-time defending NCAA champions Ohio State 25-22, 25-23, 25-27, 32-30 in the VolleyFour on Thursday in Los Angeles.
