Grand Canyon coach ready for home opener vs. powerhouse USC

Grand Canyon scheduling its upcoming home opener against the powerhouse USC is more than just a match — it’s a statement for the entire university.

Coach Jeremy Price said in an interview with Off the Block earlier this week that being able to get the program’s first non-conference home match against a likely nationally ranked team is a sign of growth for the emerging NCAA Division I school.

Grand Canyon gets home match vs. USC to open 2015 season

For the first time in its program history, Grand Canyon will not have to travel to play a non-conference match versus a projected top-10 nationally ranked team.

USC announced Thursday that it would open the upcoming season on the road against Grand Canyon in the first meeting between to the two programs in five years.

Conference tournament quarterfinal matches to follow tonight

The MIVA Tournament continues with two nationally ranked teams trying to get home wins to advance to the semifinals.

Lewis with its NCAA Tournament at-large bid hopes on the line will play host to Grand Canyon in the conference tournament quarterfinals. In addition, Ball State will try to reach the MIVA Tournament semifinals for the third consecutive season as it plays Lindenwood.
