Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

Top 5 men’s volleyball matches to follow tonight

Princeton releases 2012 schedule: 5 things to know about this schedule

A three-match West Coast road trip and a nine-match homestand highlights the 2012 Princeton regular season schedule that the team released Thursday.

Harvard releases 2012 schedule: 5 things to know about this schedule

Long Beach State vs. Stanford rematch highlights preseason tourney

Six months after Long Beach State upset Stanford in the conference tournament, the two teams will have a preseason rematch.

Long Beach State and Stanford will play a full best-of-five game exhibition match Saturday at the Walter Pyramid as part of the preseason LBSU Fall Tournament.

“It is 100 percent exhibition matches this weekend and they don’t go on our record, but you ask any of our players and they want to win them too,” Long Beach State interim head coach Andy Read said.

Cal Baptist releases 2012 schedule: 5 things to know about this schedule

More matches against Division I-II nationally ranked teams and two non-conference tournaments on the East Coast highlights the 2012 Cal Baptist regular season schedule that the team released Friday.

Cal Baptist last year in its final season as an NAIA team won the NAIA national championship. The Lancers enter the second year of their transition to the NCAA Division II and will be considered a NCAA provisional member ineligible for postseason competition in 2012.

Cal Baptist has four starters returning for the upcoming season, including the 2011 NAIA Player of the Year Levi Cabral.
