Conference tournament semifinal matches to follow tonight

The final match-up for Conference Championship Friday will be decided today.

The MPSF Tournament semifinals get underway with Hawai’i and Pepperdine meeting in a critical match for both their hopes of qualifying for the NCAA Tournament. Lewis middle Walsh named 2015 OTB/Springbak National Blocker of Year

A nationwide voting committee selected Lewis middle attacker Bobby Walsh as the winner of the 2015 Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Blocker of the Year.

Off the Block announced Thursday that Walsh was the recipient of the annual college men’s volleyball given to the NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball player with the best front-row defensive performance during the regular season. Bracketology: Difficult for Pepperdine to get NCAA Tournament at-large bid

A conference tournament semifinals win for Pepperdine would not be enough for it to receive a NCAA Tournament at-large bid, according to the latest Off the Block bracketology projections.
