Russell spearheads U.S. sweep of Poland in quarterfinals

One of the youngest players on the U.S. roster had one of his best performances during the Olympics to help bring the United States one win away from a medal.

United States to face Poland in Olympic tournament quarterfinals

The gold medalists from the 2014 FIVB World Championship and the 2015 FIVB World Cup will now meet with a spot in the Olympic semifinals on the line.

U.S. powers past Mexico to clinch Olympic quarterfinals berth

Opposite Murphy Troy coming off the bench gave the United States the boost it needed to clinch a quarterfinals berth.

Troy finished with a match-high 10 kills on a .643 attack percentage as the United State swept Mexico 25-23, 25-11, 25-19 in its pool-play finale on Monday in Rio to advance to the single-elimination stage of the Olympic tournament.
