No. 6 Pepperdine improved to 2-0 on season after defeating UC San Diego (0-1) in three games on Friday in Malibu, California.

Emmanuel College obtained full NCAA Division II membership in July after several years of being ineligible for postseason play as they transitioned from the NAIA.
