No. 13 George Mason bounced back from its first conference loss in a big way.
With a sold-out home crowd in attendance, George Mason had a .349 attack percentage as it swept Penn State 25-22, 25-19, 25-18 on Friday in Fairfax, Virginia.
No. 6/6 UCLA outhit Concordia-Irvine, .356 to .101, in the conference road win at Concordia-Irvine. The Bruins were led by opposite, Brandon Rattray who had a match high 13 kills while tying his career-best with four aces. No. 1/1 Long Beach State left no doubt that their sweep over No. 4/4 last month was no fluke on Saturday night as the repeated the performance in convincing fashion. The Beach used 12 service aces and a balance attack where they attacked at an efficient .404 clip to improve to 13-0. Senior opposite Kyle Ensing led the way with eight kills and an ace.
