No. 17 Ohio State put an to No. 10/8 McKendree’s program-record winning streak.
McKendree had its longest winning streak in program history snapped at 12 matches as it lost to Ohio State 25-18, 26-24, 19-15, 20-25, 15-9 on Thursday in Columbus, Ohio.
Freshman outside attacker Stanislaw Chacinski in the victory led all players with 21 kills. Opposite Shane Wetzel added 18 kills along with a match-high three aces.
Both Chacinski and Wetzel also were among the four Buckeyes who had double-digit digs against the Bearcats.
Mckendree middle attacker Rolen Lively finished with a match-high 11 blocks. In addition, the Bearcats had 16.5 blocks in the loss — 10 more blocks than the Buckeyes.
