Two players with all-conference accolades are coming to Grand Canyon via the transfer portal.
Grand Canyon announced recently that both former BYU outside attacker Trent Moser and former Charleston middle attacker Cole Duncanson will join the Antelopes for the 2025 season.
Moser, a 2023 MPSF All-Freshman Team selection, had double-digit kills in eight matches as a freshman. The outside attacker also had double-digit kills in six matches during the first month of the 2024 season but did not appear in a match the final two months of the season.
Duncanson arrived at Charleston as a transfer from Canada and finished last season with a .450 attack percentage. The Second-Team All-EIVA also was seventh in the conference averaging 0.83 blocks per game, including having a team-high four blocks to help Charleston sweep Princeton in the EIVA Tournament quarterfinals.
Along with Moser and Duncanson, outside attacker Cole Ottmar opted to transfer to Grand Canyon after three years at Hawai’i.
Grand Canyon ended last season winning the MPSF championship for the first time in program history and advanced to the NCAA Tournament semifinals. The Antelopes under coach Matt Werle enter 2025 attempting to make their third consecutive NCAA Tournament.
Grand Canyon, though, have to replace multiple All-American starters and the majority of its starting lineup from last season.
