Recap: Current NCAA players performances at Pan American Cup

College men’s volleyball was well represented at the latest Pan American Cup.

Check out how all the current NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball players performed at the recent international tournament.

Jamal Ellis Carballo, Fairleigh Dickinson (Puerto Rico)
Carballo had a tournament-best performance 15 kills and three blocks in a pool-play loss to the United States. The opposite was fourth among on the team with 35 kills during the tournament as Puerto Rico won the bronze medal.

Nolan Flexen, UC Irvine (United States)
Flexen played in three pool-play matches as the United States won the silver medal. In addition, Flexen finished with a tournament-high six kills in a victory against Mexico.

Santiago La Jara, Fairleigh Dickinson (Peru)
La Jara was in the tournament’s top 10 with 12 blocks and had a match-high three blocks as Peru defeated Guatemala in the ninth-place finals. The middle attacker also had at least four kills in three matches during the tournament.

Cooper Robinson, UCLA (United States)
Robinson had at least five kills in every Pan American Cup match, including a tournament-high nine kills in the gold-medal match loss to Canada. The pin-hitter also had nine kills on a .667 attack percentage against the Dominican Republic in the quarterfinals.

Skyler Varga, Long Beach State (Canada)
Varga appeared in four matches during Canada’s gold-medal run and had a tournament-high eight kills in a pool-play match against Chile. The opposite also had seven kills against Puerto Rico.
