The NORCECA Men’s Final Four format will be a round-robin with the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Guatemala and the host-nation Puerto Rico.

The first-place team following the round robin will qualify for the FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup later this season. The Challenger Cup is an eight-team, single-elimination bracket tournament with the champion qualifying for the Volleyball Nations League next year.

Carballo is the only current NCAA men’s volleyball player to make the Puerto Rican roster for the tournament starting June 14.. The team is primarily comprised of former college players including George Mason outside attacker Omar Hoyos, Purdue Fort Wayne outside attacker Pelegrin Vegas and Penn State libero Dennis del Valle.
