There is a new No. 1 in NCAA men’s volleyball.
Penn State jumped two spots to finish atop the latest Off the Block National Media Poll that was released Tuesday.
The Nittany Lions moved to No. 1 for the first time this season following the team pulling off a road victory against Hawai’i on Saturday at the Outrigger Invitational. The team finished the non-conference tournament 2-1, including a sweep against Purdue Fort Wayne.
The National Media Poll is the only rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in the National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.
A new national media poll is released every Tuesday during the regular season on Off the Block’s website.
