The field of the Outrigger Invitational will now officially have the top three teams in the nation.
Hawai’i, UCLA and Penn State all finished atop the latest Off the Block National Media Poll that was released Tuesday.
All three of these teams along with Purdue Fort Wayne will compete in the Outrigger Invitational that starts Thursday at Hawai’i. This non-conference tournament will be a round-robin format with the teams playing each other during a three-day span.
The National Media Poll is the only rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in the National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.
A new national media poll is released every Tuesday during the regular season on Off the Block’s website.
