No. 5/4 Grand Canyon improved to 14-0 (3-0 MPSF) on the year after defeating No. 7/8 Pepperdine in five games, 25-18, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25, 16-14, on Wednesday night in Malibu, California. The Waves actually outhit the Lopes, .533 to .438, in the fifth game, but the Lopes got two of Camden Gianni’s six aces in the final frame.
