Two more signature victories further solidified Long Beach State’s spot atop the National Media Poll.
The Beach received the majority of first-place votes and earned the No. 1 ranking in the latest Off the Block National Media Poll that was released Tuesday.
Long Beach State had back-to-back four-game home victories against Hawai’i during the weekend to move into sole possession of first pace in the Big West. This is the second consecutive week the Beach has been ranked No. 1 in the poll.
The National Media Poll is the only rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in the National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.
A new national media poll is released every Tuesday during the regular season on Off the Block’s website.
