What to know: It all comes down to the final day of the regular season for No. 11/10 Loyola to clinch its first MIVA regular season title since 2014. Loyola following a sweep against No. 7/4 Ball State on Thursday to move into a tie for first place will now conclude its home stand against Ohio State. The Ramblers hold the head-to-head tiebreaker against the Cardinals and with a win or a Ball State loss can secure the regular season title, the No. 1 seed for the MIVA Tournament and home court advantage throughout the conference tournament. Freshman outside attacker Parker Van Buren leads Loyola and is fifth in the nation with a 4.34 kills per game average, including having 27 kills on a .431 attack percentage in a five-game victory against Ohio State in February. That performance was part of Van Buren’s streak of four consecutive matches with at least 20 kills. Van Buren also had a team-high 15 kills and hit .448 in the team’s latest victory against Ball State that extended its winning streak to four matches. The Buckeyes enter this road match in a three-way tie for fourth place and need a win to have a chance to finish in fourth place and earn a home match for the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals. Ohio State defeated Purdue Fort Wayne on Thursday for its second consecutive win in five games. Setter Noah Platfoot guided the Ohio State offense to a .437 attack percentage against Purdue Fort Wayne. Samuel Clark also had a team-high 21 kills in the victory and is now in the nation’s top 20 averaging 3.50 kills per game.
North Greenville (17-5, 11-2 ConfCarolinas) vs. Emmanuel (14-12, 7-5 ConfCarolinas)

What to know: One more win is all that separates North Greenville from being assured the program’s first ConfCarolinas regular season championship. North Greenville enters its regular season finale against Emmanuel tied for first place with Mount Olive and owns the head-to-head tiebreaker. The Crusaders can clinch the regular season title and No. 1 seed for the ConfCarolinas Tournament with a win – or even possibly before its match starts if King defeats Mount Olive earlier in the day. In addition, Crusaders have already clinched a top-two seed and a double-bye to the ConfCarolinas Tournament semifinals Two freshmen from Puerto Rico have helped lead North Greenville to the verge of the championship. Middle attacker Michael de la Cruz is in the nation’s top 20 averaging both 0.46 aces per game and 0.97 blocks per game. de la Cruz also is 12th in the country with a .406 attack percentage, including hitting .581 and having a season-high 21 kills in a victory against Mount Olive. Along with de la Cruz, opposite Gregory Torres is in the nation’s top 40 with a 3.30 kills per game average. Emmanuel is on a three-match winning streak and has already clinched the No. 4 seed and a bye to the ConfCarolinas Tournament quarterfinals. Outside attacker Gustavo Cavalcanti is third in the nation with a 0.55 aces per game average and is in the nation’s top 20 averaging 3.71 kills per game. Cavalcanti, though, had 12 kills and was held to less than a .100 attack percentage in a four-game loss to North Greenville in March. In addition, Emmanuel libero Nicklas Eichenberger led all players with 11 digs in that match and leads the nation averaging 3.12 digs per game.
