Fresh off a couple of impressive wins at home this past weekend, the undefeated Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters are the new No. 3 team in the Division II coaches poll released on Wednesday morning.
The Railsplitters rank No. 2 nationally with 3.067 blocks per game, led by middle attacker Dawson Walker’s 1.6 blocks per game – also No. 2 nationally.
Two of the five undefeated teams in the nation are ranked in the top three of this weeks poll (Concordia-Irvine).
Additionally, Charleston jumps back into the poll, at No. 10 in this week’s poll.
Lewis retained it’s tight grip on the top spot, garnering all 15 first place votes.
Both NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II men’s volleyball programs compete for the same national championship. The AVCA National Coaches Poll ranks the top 15 Division I-II men’s volleyball teams and is released each Monday during the regular season.
A national voting committee comprised of coaches from the more than 25 Division II teams determines the weekly rankings for the Division II National Coaches Poll.
The Division II National Coaches Poll will be released on the Off the Block website every Wednesday during the regular season.
