Fresh off one of the biggest wins in ConfCarolinas history, Mount Olive jumps to No. 4 in the Division II coaches poll released on Wednesday morning.

The Trojans defeated George Mason in five games on Saturday night, on the strength of Tobi Azeez’s match-high 19 kills. Tristan Schraudner was named Off the Block’s Libero of Week after tallying 17 digs in that match.

Mount Olive also defeated fellow Division II member, Queens, in four games on Tuesday night

Lewis received all (ten) first place votes, and in fact, the top three remain the same from last week.

The MIVA led all conference with four teams ranked, while ConfCarolinas had three.

The Division II match of the weekend will have No. 1 Lewis hosting No. 6 Belmont Abbey on Saturday night. Both teams are a perfect 3-0 on the young season.

Both NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II men’s volleyball programs compete for the same national championship. The AVCA National Coaches Poll ranks the top 15 Division I-II men’s volleyball teams and is released each Monday during the regular season.

A national voting committee comprised of coaches from the more than 25 Division II teams determines the weekly rankings for the Division II National Coaches Poll.

The Division II National Coaches Poll will be released on the Off the Block website every Wednesday during the regular season.
