The inaugural men’s volleyball match for Central State and the entire SIAC wasn’t the final outcome coach Ray Lewis wanted
That didn’t mean, though, Lewis was at a loss for positives about his team’s following the match.
Freshman opposite Jayden Rookhuyzen finished with a team-high 16 kills as Central State lost to Indiana Tech 25-18, 23-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-10 on Thursday in Wilberforce, Ohio.
Central State is one of six historically black colleges and universities from the SIAC to start men’s volleyball programs this season. In addition, the SIAC became the third multi-sport conference in the nation to add NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball.
