Several all-conference players will make the transition to the beach during the offseason.
Nine players from NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball teams were selected to the 13-player roster for the U.S. Men’s Beach Collegiate National Team that USA Volleyball recently unveiled.
“It is exciting to have this opportunity for men’s collegiate beach and to help develop future college and USA Volleyball stars,” St. Katherine coach and Collegiate National Team coach Iordanov Danko said in a statement.
UC Irvine leads all schools with two players making the Collegiate National Team. Ball State, Grand Canyon, Ohio State, Pepperdine, UC San Diego and UCLA also are each represented players on the roster.
Members of the Collegiate National Team will attend a training block on June 21-26 in Huntington Beach, California.
