The wait for St. Francis Brooklyn will continue to start its season.
St. Francis Brooklyn announced Monday that it has postponed its four matches this week because of the coronavirus.
The team was slated to start its eight-match seasons with home doubleheaders versus Sacred Heart on Wednesday and D’Youville on Saturday. With no make-up dates announced yet, St. Francis Brooklyn’s next scheduled match will be a two-match series against Daemen next month.
The Terriers are in their program’s second season and are in their final season as an independent team before joining the EIVA in 2022.
St. Francis Brooklyn under coach Niko Lambert finished its inaugural season in 2020 at 5-10. Middle attacker James Henneberry also earned All-Independent Team honors after ending the abbreviated season in the nation’s top 10 with a .413 attack percentage.
