No. 7/9 UCLA improved to 4-2 on the young season after defeating USC in four games on Saturday night at Galen Pavilion, 27-25, 25-21, 23-25, 34-32. The Bruins got double digit kills from three players, highlighted by opposite Cole Ketrzynski’s career-high 21 kills. 10 of the 21 kills came in the marathon fourth game which featured 21 ties. The Bruins outhit the Trojans, .304 to .150, and outblocked them 10.5 to 4.5. The Trojans, who fall to 1-2 on the season, were led by Brandon Browning’s 11 kills.
