The coronavirus pandemic has sidelined two ConfCarolinas programs.

Both Lees-McRae and Erskine announced Friday they have postponed matches because of the virus.

The Bobcats have postponed four upcoming matches through next week, including the team’s conference matches versus King, North Greenville and Belmont Abbey. In addition, Lees-McRae was slated to play a home non-conference match versus Bluefield on Saturday.

Lees-McRae has now postponed five consecutive matches following its season-opening loss to Lincoln Memorial on Jan. 16. Tusculum announced its match versus Lees-McRae scheduled for earlier this week was postponed because a player on the Bobcats tested positive for the coronavirus.

Limestone also announced Friday it had to postpone its non-conference match scheduled later that night against Erskine due to coronavirus protocols within the Fleet’s program.

This is the only match Erskine has postponed so far. The team is slated to play Emmanuel in its ConfCarolinas opener on Wednesday.
