Carvalho finished with a career-high 11 aces as Lincoln Memorial defeated King in five games on Friday, including having five consecutive aces and six total aces in the decisive fifth game. This was the most aces in a NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball match since 2012.

Along with his serving, the middle attacker had seven kills and zero errors on a .538 attack percentage against King. Carvalho also added four kills as Lincoln Memorial swept Lees-McRae on Saturday for its fifth win in its last six matches.
