Concordia-Irvine, McKendree swap spots in latest Division II Coaches Poll

Concordia-Irvine has jumped to No. 3 in the new Off the Block Division II National Coaches Poll that was released on Tuesday.

The Eagles, fresh off a four-game victory over No. 2 UC San Diego in La Jolla, California last Friday, has swapped spots with then-No. 3 McKendree. Concordia-Irvine outhit UC San Diego, .304 to .181, and outserved them eight aces to two.

This weekend’s marquee Division II matchup is a MIVA conference matchup between No. 1 Lewis and No. 4 McKendree in Romeoville, Illinois, on Friday night.

Both NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II men’s volleyball programs compete for the same national championship. The AVCA National Coaches Poll ranks the top 15 Division I-II men’s volleyball teams and is released each Monday during the regular season.

A national voting committee comprised of coaches from the more than 15 Division II teams determines the weekly rankings for the Division II National Coaches Poll.

The Division II National Coaches Poll will be released on the Off the Block website every Tuesday during the regular season.
