Outside attacker Camden Gianni had a match-high 19 kills on a .350 attack percentage as No. 13 Grand Canyon rallied to beat No. 6/7 Pepperdine 17-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-17 on Sunday in Phoenix, Arizona.
Gianni was one of two Antelopes with at least 15 kills. Outside attacker Christian Janke had 16 while hitting .400 and a team-high 10 digs against the Waves.
Grand Canyon out-hit Pepperdine.269 to .212 en route to the victory and moving into sole possession of second place in the MPSF. In addition, setter Heath Hughes guided the offense to a match-best .481 attack percentage in the fourth game to secure the conference home win.
Pepperdine outside attacker Noah Dyer in the loss had 11 kills on a .345 attack percentage.
