The inaugural preseason home match in Tusculum program history will air live on Off the Block and Facebook.
Off the Block announced Friday that it will showcase via Facebook Live all of Tusculum’s preseason matches against King and Lincoln Memorial on Saturday.
Tusculum under coach Eddie Pennington will compete as an independent in its first season. In addition, the new NCAA Division II team from East Tennessee is preparing for a 25-match regular season schedule that begins in January.
This preseason event at Tusculum will feature all three NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball teams in Tennessee.
Lincoln Memorial finished last season winning its second consecutive IVA Tournament championship and set a single-season program record with 18 victories. Among the starters returning for the Railsplitters include opposite Evan Cory, who was named a finalist for the 2019 Division II National Player of the Year.
King ended the 2019 season one-point away from repeating as ConfCarolinas champions but lost to Barton in a fifth-game overtime of the conference tournament finals. In addition, First-Team All-ConfCarolinas outside attacker Sean Kohlhase highlights the starters returning for the Tornado.
The four preseason split-squad matches will take place at 11 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. These matches will be available on the Off the Block website and the Tusculum Facebook page.
