Live video: United States vs. A1 Red in High Performance Championships finals

A gold medal at a prestigious USA Volleyball event will be on the line for members of the U.S. Boys’ Youth National Training Team.

In preparation for the upcoming FIVB U19 World Championship, the United States split its 24-player training team into two squads and competed at the USA Volleyball High Performance Championships in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The U.S. Boys’ Youth National Training Team Red advanced to the championship match of the Boys International Division, while U.S. Boys’ Youth National Training Team White lost in the quarterfinals.

U.S. Boys’ Youth National Training Team Red will play the Boys Youth A1 Red coached by St. Francis head coach Mike Rumbaugh in the gold-medal match that will begin at approximately 6:15 p.m. (CST).

The United States following its training session will reduce its roster to 12 players for the World Championship that begins Aug. 21 in Tunisia.
