USC bounced back a day after losing to Barton with a sweep in a trophy match.
Outside attacker Jack Wyett had a match-high 19 kills while hitting .457 as USC beat Lindenwood 25-20, 25-21, 32-30 to win the Battle for the Tall Slim Tees V-Neck on Sunday at the Off the Block Grow the Game Challenge presented by MotorMVB.
Wyett was one of three Trojans with at least nine kills in the victory on the final day of the non-conference tournament. Opposite Ryan Moss contributed 11 kills and had a match-high four blocks, while outside attacker Gianluca Grasso added nine kills on a .333 attack percentage.
USC out-hit Lindenwood .352 to .269 and did not have less than a .300 attack percentage in any of the three games.
Middle attacker Tyler Resnick also led all players three aces, including the match-winning ace to end a 14-point overtime session.
Lindenwood Connor Hipelius in the loss had 11 kills on a .667 attack percentage and had a team-high three blocks. Hipelius joined Moss and Wyett in making the All-Tournament Team.
