No. 5/6 UCLA (5-1) took out No. 12 UC Santa Barbara in straight sets 25-20, 25-16, 25-21 Wednesday night at the Pauley Pavilion.

The Bruins outhit the Gauchos .475 to .183. UCLA had four players who tallied at least eight kills, and was led by junior opposite Brandon Rattray, who had a match-high 11 kills. Daenan Gyimah and Austin Matuatia were both error-less on the night with 10 and 8 kills respectively.

Freshman middle blocker Brandon Hicks led the Gauchos with six kills while hitting for .385.

UCLA returns to action this Saturday at home against No. 1 Long Beach State, while UC Santa Barbara travels to Ball State on Friday.
