No. 6/7 Pepperdine bounced back from its loss on Sunday night to No. 4/4 UC Irvine by defeating No. 12 CSUN in four games on Wednesday night in Malibu, California.
The Waves used big games from senior outside attacker David Wieczorek and opposite Michael Wexter. Wieczorek, the three-time Off the Block Fan Choice Player of the Year, reached a couple of personal milestones in the win.
With all five Waves aces, Wieczorek now has over 100 career aces, while his 16 kills gives his more than 1,000 kills in his career. Wexter had a season-high 21 kills to lead all players.
On the other side of the net, CSUN had four players who had double-digit kills.
