Barton finished undefeated at the Off the Block Grow the Game Challenge presented MotorMVB to win the tournament championship on Sunday.
Despite having never beating a MPSF or nationally ranked team in its program history, Barton upset both No. 15 Grand Canyon and USC earlier in the weekend. It also swept Quincy on the final day of the tournament to win the non-conference tournament title.
The Grow the Game Challenge was comprised of a 10-team field, including seven NCAA Division I-II programs. The three NCAA Division III and NAIA schools competed for a separate championship, which Fontbonne won on Saturday.
