CSUN and Stanford are the biggest beneficiaries of a shake-up in the bottom half of the top-10 national media poll.

Both the CSUN and Stanford following upset victories against nationally ranked teams jumped into the latest Off the Block National Media Poll that was released on Tuesday.

CSUN was ranked No. 10 after pulling off the biggest upset of the college men’s volleyball season as it swept UCLA — which dropped three spots to No. 5 in the rankings. In addition, Stanford upset Ohio State during the weekend to move up to No. 9 and knock the Buckeyes out the poll.

The National Media Poll is the only rankings in NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball solely determined by media members. The 10 teams receiving the most votes are ranked in the National Media Poll, while other schools earning votes but finishing outside of the top 10 are considered teams receiving votes.

A new national media poll is released every Tuesday during the regular season on Off the Block’s website.
