Conference tournament seeding scenarios to know

It’s the final day of regular season for several conferences and there are several conference tournament seeds still undecided.

Check out the breakdown of the possible conference tournament seed clinching scenarios to know for today.


MPSF
Long Beach State — Can clinch a share of the MPSF regular season title, the No. 1 seed in the MPSF Tournament and home court advantage throughout the conference tournament with a victory against CSUN.

BYU — Can clinch the No. 1 seed in the MPSF Tournament and home court advantage throughout the conference tournament with a Long Beach State loss. Already has clinched a share of the MPSF regular season title.

Hawai’i — Clinched the No. 3 seed and home court for the MPSF Tournament quarterfinals.

UC Irvine — Clinched the No. 4 seed and home court advantage for the MPSF Tournament quarterfinals.

UCLA — Clinched the No. 5 seed.

Pepperdine — Can clinch the No. 6 seed with a victory against UC Irvine or a USC loss.

USC — Can clinch the No. 6 seed with a victory against Cal Baptist, a Pepperdine loss and a Stanford loss. Can clinch the No. 7 seed with a win and a Stanford loss.

Stanford — Can clinch the No. 7 seed with a victory or a USC loss.

CSUN — Eliminated from postseason contention.

UC Santa Barbara — Eliminated from postseason contention.

UC San Diego — Eliminated from postseason contention.

Cal Baptist — Eliminated from postseason contention.

MIVA
Ohio State — Clinched the MIVA regular season title, the No. 1 seed in the MIVA Tournament and home court advantage throughout the entire postseason.

Lewis — Clinched the No. 2 seed and home court for the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals and semifinals.

Grand Canyon — Clinched the No. 3 seed and home court for the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals.

Loyola — Can clinch the No. 4 seed and home court for the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals if it wins one game against Ball State in its regular season finale or losses in three games but the combined margin of victory is less than 19 points.

Ball State — Can clinch the No. 4 seed and home court for the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals if it sweeps Loyola in its regular season finale and the combined margin of victory is more than 19 points.

McKendree — Can clinch the No. 6 seed if it beats Lindenwood in its regular season finale, loses in five games or loses in four games and the combined margin of victory is less than nine points.

Lindenwood — Can clinch the No. 6 seed if it sweeps McKendree in its regular season finale or wins in four games and the combined margin of victory is more than nine points.

Fort Wayne — Can clinch the No. 8 seed if it beats Lewis in its regular season finale and a Quincy loss or it losses and Quincy in its regular season finale against Ohio State losses in the same amount of games. Also can clinch if Quincy losses but wins one more game than Fort Wayne did against Lewis and then Fort Wayne wins the fifth tiebreaker — total point differential in all conference matches.

Quincy — Can clinch the No. 8 seed if it beats Ohio State in its regular season finale and a Fort Wayne loss or it losses in five games and Fort Wayne is swept in its season finale against Lewis. Also can clinch it wins one more game than Fort Wayne did against Lewis and then it wins the fifth tiebreaker — total point differential in all conference matches.

CONFERENCE CAROLINAS
Barton — Can clinch the ConfCarolinas regular season title, the No. 1 seed in the ConfCarolinas Tournament and home court throughout the conference tournament if it beats Mount Olive in its regular season finale. Also can clinch the No. 1 seed if King loses both its remaining matches and Barton losses to Mount Olive in five games or losses in four games and the combined margin of victory is less than 17 points. Also can clinch the No. 1 seed if it loses to Mount Olive, King loses two matches and it then wins the tiebreaker among the three schools.

King — Can clinch the ConfCarolinas regular season title, the No. 1 seed in the ConfCarolinas Tournament and home court throughout the conference tournament if it wins its remaining two conference matches and Mount Olive beats Barton. Also can clinch the No. 1 seed if it wins one of its remaining conference matches, Mount Olive beats Barton and it wins the tiebreaker among the three schools. Can clinch the No. 2 seed if it wins its two remaining matches or wins one match and Mount Olives loses to Barton.

Mount Olive — Can clinch the ConfCarolinas regular season title, the No. 1 seed in the ConfCarolinas Tournament and home court throughout the conference tournament if it beats Barton in its regular season finale, a King loss and it then wins the tiebreaker among the three schools. Also can clinch the No. 1 seed if King loses its final two matches and it sweeps Barton or beats Barton in four games and the combined margin of victory is more than 17 points. Can clinch at least the No. 2 seed with a win and King losing its final two matches.

Limestone — Clinched the No. 4 seed and home court for the Conference Carolinas Tournament quarterfinals.

Belmont Abbey — Can clinch the No. 5 seed if Lees-McRae loses its two remaining matches and North Greenville loses one of its two remaining matches. Also can clinch the No. 5 seed if North Greenville beats Lees-McRae on Saturday but loses its regular season finale and Lees-McRae then wins its regular season finale. Can clinch at least the No. 6 seed if North Greenville loses one of its two remaining matches.

Lees-McRae — Can clinch the No. 5 seed if wins its remaining two matches or it beats North Greenville on Saturday and then North Greenville loses its regular season finale.

North Greenville — Can clinch the No. 5 seed if it wins its remaining two matches. Can clinch No. 6 seed if it beats Lees-McRae on Saturday and then Lees-McRae loses its regular season finale.

Erskine — Clinched the No. 8 seed.

Emmanuel — Ineligible for postseason because of transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II.

Pfeiffer — Eliminated from postseason contention.

EIVA
Penn State — Can clinch the EIVA regular season title, the No. 1 seed for the EIVA Tournament and the right to play host to the conference tournament if wins two of its remaining three conference matches.

St. Francis — Can clinch a berth to the EIVA Tournament if it wins its three remaining conference matches.

George Mason — Can clinch a berth to the EIVA Tournament if it wins its three remaining conference matches.

Sacred Heart — Can clinch a berth to the EIVA Tournament if it wins its three remaining conference matches.

Princeton — Can clinch a berth to the EIVA Tournament if it wins its three remaining conference matches.

NJIT — Can clinch a berth to the EIVA Tournament if it wins its two remaining conference matches.

Charleston — Eliminated from postseason contention.
