Alternative data: Standings if NCAA used FIVB point system

There is more than one way to determine conference standings.

While NCAA men’s volleyball uses the traditional win-loss record metric as the basis for its standings, the FIVB for international matches uses a point system as a tiebreaker for teams with the same record. The system awards a team three points for a match won in a three or four games, two points for a match won in five games, one point for a match lost in five games and zero points for a match lost in three or four games.
