All-session tickets on sale for upcoming NCAA Tournament

Tickets are now available for the three biggest matches of the college men’s volleyball season.

Ohio State announced beginning Friday morning all-session tickets will be on sale for the upcoming NCAA Tournament semifinals and finals at St. John Arena on the Ohio State campus.

Tickets can be purchased online via Tickmaster by clicking here. In addition, a group of 10 or more people can buy tickets at a discounted rate by calling the Ohio State ticket office at 614-292-8098.

Group all-session tickets are $8 per person, while adult tickets are $25 and student and youth tickets are $15. Ohio State students with a valid BUCK ID will receive free admission for any matches that include the Buckeyes.

The NCAA Tournament returns to Columbus, Ohio, for the first time in a decade with the two semifinal matches on Thursday, May 4 and the finals on Saturday, May 6.

Along with ticket prices, Ohio State announced parking will be free at any of the St. John Arena lots for the NCAA Tournament. The doors to the stadium also will open to the public one hour before both the first semifinal match and the finals.

This is the fifth time Ohio State has played host to the NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball championships. Ohio State had a total attendance of 6,884 for the 2007 NCAA Tournament, including 4,755 people in attendance for UC Irvine beating Fort Wayne in the championship match.

The highest total attendance for a NCAA Tournament at Ohio State was 7,415 in 1978. In that NCAA Tournament finals, Pepperdine defeated UCLA in five games for its first championship in program history.

The Buckeyes are the defending NCAA championships and on a program-record 36-match winning streak dating back to last season. In addition, Ohio State swept BYU in the NCAA finals last season at Penn State with 2,745 people in attendance.
