Jake Gibbs and former BYU opposite Casey Patterson lost to Spain’s Herrera Allepuz Pablo and Gavira Collado Adrian in three games on Wednesday morning in Rio. With this loss in its pool-play finale, the U.S. pair failed to advance to the knockout stage and was eliminated from the Olympic men’s beach volleyball tournament.

On Wednesday morning, the women’s Netherland beach volleyball team fell to Australia. Alex Roose and his wife traveled from the Netherlands to cheer their country on as much as they could but unfortunately, it didn’t help.

Marcus Andreos proudly supports the United States of America on Wednesday morning at the beach volleyball tournament at Copacabana beach. Although Andreos is a United States citizen, he was born in Brazil and that’s why he returned for the Olympics.

On Wednesday morning, the Netherland’s women beach volleyball team fell to Australia in three games. Netherland’s team mates Marleen Van Iersel and Madelein Meppelink walked out and shocked the crowd with their full body suits rather than their normal beach wear to stay warm in the rain.
