One start into his college career and Lewis outside attacker Julian Moses has already earned his first national award.
Off the Block announced Monday that Moses was selected as the season’s inaugural Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. National Freshman of the Week.
Moses had a match-high 21 kills on a .471 attack percentage as No. 8 Lewis defeated No. 9 UC Santa Barbara in four games on Saturday. The redshirt freshman also added six blocks and eight digs in the season-opening victory.
This is the first time in the three-year history of the award that a Lewis player has been named the National Freshman of the Week.
