The regular season is still months away from starting but tickets are already on sale for the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
The host site Penn State recently announced that all-session tickets can now be purchased for the upcoming men’s volleyball Division I-II NCAA Tournament in May.
Tickets for both the NCAA Tournament semifinals and NCAA Tournament championship match are $25 for adults and $15 for students and people less than 18 years old. In addition, groups of at least 20 people have an opportunity to purchase tickets at a discounted rate.
Individuals can buy NCAA Tournament tickets over the phone by calling 1-800-NITTANY during regular business hours Monday through Friday. Tickets also can be bought in person at the Bryce Jordan Center Athletics Ticket Office on the Penn State campus.
Penn State is playing host to six-team NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2011.
The NCAA Tournament finals last season at Stanford had an all-time low 2,419 people in attendance to watch Loyola beat Lewis in a fifth-game overtime and repeat as national champions. It was the third time in the 46-year history of the NCAA Tournament that the championship match had less than 3,000 people in attendance.
The 2011 NCAA Tournament ended with a finals’ attendance of 3,683. Each of the previous five NCAA Tournament finals played at Penn State had more than 3,500 people in attendance.
The 2016 NCAA Tournament semifinals will be Thursday, May 5, while the championship match will be played Saturday, May 7.
