All the formalities have been completed and Charleston is now an official member of the EIVA.
The EIVA at its annual league meeting on Wednesday unanimously voted to make the second-year program Charleston the eighth active member of the conference for the 2016 season.
This formal vote comes about two months after the EIVA announced it would award conference membership to Charleston. The Golden Eagles are the first NCAA Division I-II men’s volleyball team located in West Virginia.
Charleston competed its inaugural season as an independent team and finished at 4-23. Freshman opposite Rajahl Moxey also led the Golden Eagles with a 2.68 kills per game average and earned Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. All-Independent Team honors.
