For the second consecutive week, Lewis is atop of the RPI rankings.
Lewis entering the final week of the regular season remained at No. 1 in the newest RPI rankings that were released Monday.
The RPI is determined by a mathematical formula that uses a team’s winning record, its opponents’ winning record and its opponents’ strength of schedule. This is also the first year that the RPI will be part of the criteria used to select the NCAA Tournament field.
UC Irvine jumped one spot ahead of Loyola to No. 2 in the RPI rankings. In addition, Hawai’i and Ohio State rounded-out the top five.
