Video: No. 1 Hawai’i pulls off road comeback vs. No. 12 UCLA

No. 1 Hawai’i had to make a big comeback but finished the night clinching its first postseason home match in five years.

All-American middle attacker Taylor Averill had a team-high six blocks and added 16 kills as Hawai’i rallied to beat No. 12 UCLA 22-25, 23-25, 25-16, 25-19, 15-8 on Monday in Los Angeles.

With this victory, the Rainbow Warriors extended their first-place lead in the MPSF standings and became the first team to clinch a home match for the upcoming conference tournament quarterfinals. The last time Hawai’i played a home match in the MPSF Tournament occurred in 2010, which was its last postseason victory.
