Outside attacker Will Ruiz had a match-high 11 kills as Alderson Broaddus swept its in-state rival Charleston 25-21, 25-23, 25-18 on Tuesday in Charleston, West Virginia.
Alderson Broaddus, which is transitioning from a club team to NCAA Division II, out-hit Charleston .203 to .047. In addition, libero Travis Vincenzini led all players with 14 digs in the victory.
