All-American outside attacker Josh Taylor had a match-high 17 kills and added three aces as No. 1 Pepperdine defeated George Mason 28-26, 25-23, 23-25, 25-10 on Sunday in Malibu, California.
The Waves in the non-conference victory out-hit the Patriots .318 to .252, including holding George Mason to a negative-.240 attack percentage in the fourth game. In addition, Peppedine had three players finish with multiple aces.

George Mason (0-2, 0-0 EIVA) despite the loss had three players — Radoslav Popov, Paco Velez and Jack Wilson — finish with a team-high 14 kills against Pepperdine (4-0, 0-0 MPSF).
