Fans will now have the opportunity to help determine who should be the newest members of the EIVA Hall of Fame.
The EIVA announced Thursday that starting this season fans will be able to submit nominations to the league office for who should be inducted into the conference’s hall of fame.
“We are happy to continue the tradition and the legacy of the EIVA,” EIVA Executive Director Ivan Marquez said in statement. “Having our fans join in the nomination process will ensure that their voices are heard in selecting the best possible candidates for this year’s Hall of Fame Class.”
The EIVA is the only college men’s volleyball conference that has its own hall of fame.
This will be the fourth class inducted into the EIVA Hall of Fame. There are currently 12 members of the hall of fame ranging from players and coaches to contributors.
Fans can submit their nominations until Feb. 6. In addition, there is no limit to the amount of nominations an individual can submit, and the EIVA Executive Committee will review all submissions before determining the 2015 EIVA Hall of Fame class.
The newest hall of fame class will be officially inducted during the EIVA Tournament in May.
