Three more players from the disbanded Pacific men’s volleyball team will join Ohio State for the upcoming season.
Ohio State recently announced that former Pacific middle attacker Matt Dorn, outside attacker Christian Franceschi and opposite Ryan Genn have transferred to play for the Buckeyes starting in the 2015 season.
Franceschi as a sophomore played in every match last season and was second on Pacific with a 2.30 kills per game average. He also had a season-high 17 kills in a loss to the MPSF champions BYU in February.
Dorn in his freshman season had 34 blocks in 16 matches for the Tigers, including a season-high six blocks against UC San Diego in February.
Genn spent the majority of his freshman season with Pacific coming off the bench as a serving specialist. The opposite in limited playing time had 35 kills and 20 blocks last season.
Pacific players became immediately eligible to transfer and play for other college men’s volleyball teams after their university opted to end its men’s volleyball program following the 2014 season.
The Buckeyes led all teams in the nation adding five Pacific transfers to its roster for 2015.
Ohio State finished last season in fifth place in the MIVA and lost in the conference tournament quarterfinals.
