Arnitz had 30 of his kills in the first three games against Laguna Beach. In addition, the senior finished with three aces and a .368 attack percentage.

Arnitz, a 6-foot-7 high school senior, committed to UCLA in November after being named a AVCA High School All-American last season and a Volleyball Magazine Top 25 Players to Watch selection. He also was one of 21 players recently selected to the U.S. Men’s Junior National Training Team roster for the upcoming 2014 NORCECA U-21 Continental Championship.

With its postseason victory, Esperanza won its second consecutive the CIF Southern Section Division 2 championship.

Esperanza and Arnitz will now advance to the Southern California Regionals on Tuesday.
