Video: No. 5 Pepperdine powers past No. 6 UCLA for MPSF road win

Outside attacker Matt Tarantino had 12 kills on zero errors and a match-high .750 attack percentage as No. 5 Pepperdine defeated No. 6 UCLA 25-18, 28-30, 25-23, 25-22 on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Tarantino was one of four Waves to have double-digit kills in the victory. In addition, All-American outside attacker Josh Taylor had a match-high 17 kills against the Bruins.

Despite the loss, outside attacker Gonzalo Quiroga led the Bruins with 16 kills. UCLA also without several of its starters in the lineup because of injuries was out-hit .328 to .156.

With this win, Pepperdine moves into a half-match ahead of UCLA and into a tie for third place in the MPSF.
