No. 3 Long Beach State overcame a late-game six-point deficit to secure a conference victory as it defeated No. 2 BYU 25-21, 25-16, 25-27, 26-24 on Friday in Long Beach, Calif.
With this victory, the 49ers snap the Cougars’ six-match winning streak and move within two-matches of BYU for first-place in the MPSF. In addition, Long Beach State All-American outside attacker Taylor Crabb finished with a team-high 21 kills — his fourth match this season with more than 20 kills.
