Teams release ticket options for 2014 college men’s volleyball season

The start to the college men’s volleyball season is still a few weeks away, but teams are already beginning the process of trying to fill their stands for the upcoming season.

While a majority of college men’s volleyball teams do not charge admission for regular season matches, several teams that do charge admission have released their season-ticket and single-match ticket options.


Check out some of the season-ticket and individual-match ticket options that teams from around the nation are offering fans.

BYU
The defending-MPSF champions BYU released its season ticket options for the upcoming season featuring options as low as $40 for upper-level seats and as high as $350 for its premium east courtside seats. BYU also has single-match tickets available for purchase between $5 to $25. The Cougars have finished the last two season leading the nation in home attendance average, including having sold-out Smith Fieldhouse for numerous regular season matches. HAWAI’I
Hawai’i announced earlier this month season ticket options for its 17 home matches ranging from $125 for adult tickets to $40 for youth tickets. In addition, the team starting Monday will have a six-match mini-season ticket offer for $60. The Rainbow Warriors’ 2014 home matches will have a different feel as the athletics department opted to close the upper bowl to the Stan Sheriff Center and will only sell lower bowl tickets. IPFW
IPFW unveiled its ticket options for the 2014 regular season with season tickets costing between $50 and $75. In addition, individual-match tickets can be purchased at $9 for lower-level seats and $7 for upper-level seats. The Mastodons return a majority of starters after reaching the MIVA Tournament quarterfinals last season. To find out more about purchasing these tickets, click here.


LEWIS
Lewis in an effort to promote its season opening homestead against No. 1 UC Irvine, No. 3 BYU and No. 11 USC is offering a special discount to these non-conference matches. The athletics department is offering a deal allowing individuals to save 15 percent when it buys a three-match package for $18. Lewis after winning a share of the MIVA regular season title last season will open the college men’s volleyball season against the defending NCAA champions UC Irvine on Jan. 1 before playing USC on Jan. 4 and BYU on Jan. 5. LONG BEACH STATE
Long Beach state released season-ticket options with it costing $75 for adults and $55 for youth, 49ers alumni or university employees. In addition, individual-match tickets will be on sale starting Dec. 23. The 49ers open the season No. 4 in the national coaches poll and return outside attacker Taylor Crabb, the 2013 ACVCA National Player of the Year. LOYOLA
The defending-MIVA champions Loyola unveiled its season ticket offers for upcoming season. Individuals can purchase adult season tickets for the Ramblers’ 14 regular season home matches for $75, which includes a $25 donation to the men’s volleyball team. In addition, mini-season ticket packages are available for Loyola’s marquee home matches against teams such as UC Irvine, BYU, Penn State and Ohio State. UC IRVINE
Season tickets for the two-time defending NCAA champions UC Irvine have been on sale since October and cost $67 with a variety of discounts available for alumni, boosters and university employees. The Anteaters also have single-match adult tickets available for $8 and a five-match mini-season ticket option for $32. UC Irvine was ranked No. 1 in the preseason national coaches poll after becoming the first teams last season in almost 20 years to win back-to-back NCAA titles. UCLA
Single-match home tickets for UCLA can now be purchase with adult tickets for $8 and youth tickets for $5. In addition, groups of at least 15 people have the option to receive tickets at a discounted rate. The Bruins last season reached the MPSF Tournament semifinals and will open the season No. 2 in the preseason national coaches poll. To find out more about purchasing these tickets, click here.

UC SANTA BARBARA
UC Santa Barbara has single-match tickets that can be purchased with adult tickets at $8 and tickets for seniors, youth or military members at $5. The Gauchos also have tickets available for its annual home tournament the UC Santa Barbara Invitational with a two-day pass costing $30 and a one-day pass costing $18. USC
Individual tickets for USC home matches are not available for purchase yet, but the prices have been released and people can submit a ticket information request on the Trojans’ athletics department website. Single-match tickets prices included $10 for courtside seats, $7 for adults and $5 for children.
